Bonds in October returned a positive amount with the semi government and corporate bond indices the top two performing indices at 0.369% and 0.307% respectively. The composite bond index returned 0.293%, government bonds 0.256%, Floating rate notes 0.232% and bank bills 0.183%.

Semi government bonds are now the top performing sector on a 12 month rolling return basis at 6.50%, closely followed by government bonds at 6.42%, the composite bond index at 6.21% and corporate bonds at 5.47%.

Bond indices were affected during the month by a large amount of maturities and the addition of the new June 2039 government bond.
