Markets are now pricing in a rate cut by March 2016 as a certainty after starting the week as only a 66% chance. It started off as a quiet week in the cash markets but the release of US FOMC minutes, a falling oil price and increasing concerns about slower Chinese and global growth rates moved the cash rates expectations market sharply towards the end of the week. With levels of anxiety rising about growth and ability of central banks to continue stimulating markets, traders are even beginning to contemplate a further cut beyond 25bps.
