October new vehicle sales go into reverse

ABS data released indicates a fall in new vehicle sales of 3.6% for October (seasonally adjusted), a reversal of the 5.9% rise in September and less than the -2.5% expected.  96,925 new vehicles were sold in October, compared to the upwardly revised September figure of 100,537.
