Remara Group manages over $2.2 billion in credit-related products, divided across three core investment strategies, each offering a distinct risk-return profile
The Credit strategy is the largest and most established, focusing on a diversified asset base and capital stack within securitised SME lending. Its vertical integration gives the Manager direct involvement in over 23,000 credit contracts, allowing for deep asset-level insights and the ability to apply analysis across multiple funds. The strategy benefits from securitisation through warehouse structures, providing strong collateral and structural protections for investors.
The Real Estate strategy involves commercial real estate (CRE) transitional lending, offering returns that sit between Credit and Tactical Opportunities in the risk-return spectrum. It targets properties undergoing repositioning or short-term financing needs.
The Tactical Opportunities strategy is the newest and smallest, with under $5 million currently managed. It targets mezzanine debt and preference equity investments in small to mid-market corporates, offering higher risk and return potential.
An experienced team drives the investment strategy with extensive expertise in private credit
The Cash Management Fund is a new addition to the Remara product range, but the underlying expertise required to develop and run such a product is not new to a number of critically important team members. We note that David Verschoor has considerable prior experience in trading corporate debt, repos, and associated treasury management activities, particularly for BNP Paribas in Tokyo and
Hong Kong. John Debevec has recently been added to the team, specifically for this product. He is a seasoned professional in capital markets and stands out with over 25 years of experience in securitisation and treasury management. His career spans several prestigious institutions, including Merrill Lynch, RBS, Westpac and Moody’s.
