Summary: Modest number of rate changes; notable changes made by AMP Bank, MyState Bank, P&N Bank; AMP Bank now offers highest rate in survey.

There were again a modest number of changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. All 14 took the form of rate increases. No changes were made by the major banks.

Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from AMP Bank. Rates on its 3-month, 4-month, 5-month and 6-month terms were all raised by 15bps while its 9-month and 1-year rates were increased by 10bps each. AMP’s 2-year, 3-year, 4-year and 5-year rates raised by 35bps, 45bps, 75bps and 85bps respectively.

MyState Bank’s increases were not as broad and generally smaller in magnitude. Its 1-year rate was increased by 15bps while its rates on terms of 6 months and2-year were both raised by 20bps.

The only other change was made by P&N Bank. Judo Bank’s changes also rate a mention. Its 3-month rate was raised by 10bps.
