Summary: Vey small number of rate changes, 6 down, 7 up; notable changes from AMP; Judo still offers highest rate in survey.

There were a very small number of changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. Of the 13 changes made, 7 took the form of rate increases. No changes were made by the major banks.

Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from AMP Bank. Rates on its terms of 3 months and 4 months were both cut by 45bps each while rates on terms of 5 months, 6 months and 9 months were each slashed by 55bps. AMP’s 1-year rate was also lowered by 10bps.

The only other changes came from Macquarie Bank. Its rates on terms of 6 months and longer were all raised by 5bps each.
