LOCAL BOND MARKETS
Australian bond markets have shown mixed movements recently, with shorter- and mid-term yields slightly higher, while longer-term yields have softened. The 10-year government bond yield rose by 1.3 basis points to 4.393%, reflecting some investor concern over ongoing economic uncertainties. In contrast, the 30-year bond yield dropped 0.7 basis points to 4.947%, signaling a slight flattening of the yield curve at the long end.
US MARKETS
The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note trimmed earlier gains but held above the 4.55% mark on Tuesday, holding the recovery from the over-one-month low touched
last session as the postponement of tariffs from US President Trump drove markets to unwind safety bets.
