Summary:

Net fund flow to bond and cash ETF sector; 21 ETFs issue additional units, three ETFs repurchase units; unit prices higher on average; TBIL largest percentage price rise; BHYB largest percentage price fall.

Investor interest in the Australian bond and cash ETF sector increased markedly for a second consecutive week as 21 of the 42 ETFs in the sector experienced a net inflow while three experienced a net outflow. The sector’s market capitalisation increased by 2.0% as the net inflow was bolstered by generally higher unit prices.

In terms of unit price changes, the VanEck 1-3 Month US Treasury Bond ETF (TBIL) had the largest price increase over the week (+1.29%). The BetaShares Australian Major Bank Hybrids Index ETF (BHYB) had the largest price fall (-0.61%).
