Summary: Moderate number of rate changes; 23 increases, 11 decreases; notable rate changes from MyState, Teachers Mutual, People’s Choice, RACQ; Judo offers highest rate in survey.
There were a moderate number of rate changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. Of the 34 changes which took place, 23 took the form of rate increases.
None of the major banks changed their respective term deposit rates this week.
Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from MyState Bank. It raised its rates on terms of 4 months and 9 months by 330bps and 100bps respectively.
Another notable change was made by Teachers Mutual after it raised its 6-month rate by 335bps. Other changes worthy of mention came from People’s Choice and RACQ.
