Summary: Modest number of rate changes; 12 increases, 13 reductions; notable rate changes from MyState; Judo Bank, Bank of Sydney have highest rate in survey.
There were a modest number of changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. Of the 25 which occurred, 13 took the form of rate reductions.
None of the major banks changed their term-deposit rates this week.
Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from MyState Bank. Its 4-month, 5-month and 9-month rates were each cut by 20bps while its 6-month and 1-year rate was each lowered by 15bps.
