Summary: Few rate changes this week; notable changes made by Suncorp, BoQ Specialist; Judo offers still highest rate in survey.

There were few changes by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. Of the thirteen changes, eleven took the form of rate increases and none of them were by the major banks.

Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from Suncorp Bank. Its 9-month rate was raised by 45bps, 1-year and 2-year rates were each increased by 25bps while 3-year, 4-year and 5-year rates were raised by 45bps, 50bps and 55bps respectively. It also trimmed its 3-month rate by 5bps.

The only other changes were made by BoQ Specialist and these were also quite notable. It lowered its 6-month rate by 10bps but also raised its 1-year rate by 5bps, its 2-year and 3-year rates by 15bps each while its 4-year and 5-year rates were each increased by 10bps.
