Summary: Modest number of rate changes; 6 reductions, 13 increases; changes from NAB, ANZ; other noteworthy changes from Military Bank, MyState; highest rate in survey unchanged at 6.00%.
There were a modest number of rate changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) again in this week’s YieldReport survey. 13 of the 19 changes took the form of rate increases.
Two of the major banks changed some of their term-deposit rates. NAB increased its 1-year rate by 10bps while ANZ reduced its 1-year and 6-month rates by 10bps and 20bps respectively.
Among the smaller ADIs, the most noticeable set of changes came from Military Bank. It raised its 6-month and 9-month rates by 30bps and its 2-year rate was increased by 70bps.
The only other particularly noteworthy change came from MyState Bank. Its only change was to raise its 5-month rate by 70bps.
