Summary: Moderate number of rate changes; 23 reductions, 3 increases; no changes from major banks; noticeable changes from Judo; highest rate in survey offer by Military Bank.
There were a moderate number of rate changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. Of the 26 changes which occurred, 23 took the form of rate reductions.
None of the major banks changed their term-deposit rates.
Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from Judo Bank. Rates on its terms of 6 months and longer were all reduced by amounts ranging from 5bps to 15bps.
Any other rate changes made by ADIs were quite modest and not especially noteworthy.
