Summary: Modest number of rate changes; zero increases, 17 reductions; only changes from Arab Bank, Judo; AMP Bank, Bank of Sydney have highest rate in survey.
There were a modest number of changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. All 17 took the form of rate reductions.
None of the major banks changed their term-deposit rates this week.
There were only two ADIs which changed their rates. Arab Bank trimmed most of its terms’ rates by 5bps but it also cut its 1-month and 2-month rates by 50bps and 75bps respectively.
Judo Bank was the other ADI. All of its offered rates were lowered by 10bps.
