Summary: Small number of rate changes; zero increases, seven reductions; ANZ lowers 1-year rate; only other changes from Bendigo, Rural; AMP Bank, Bank of Sydney have highest rate in survey.
There were a small number of changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. All seven took the form of rate reductions.
One of the major banks changed its term-deposit rates this week. ANZ lowered its 1-year rate by 5bps.
Westpac subsidiaries Bendigo Bank and Rural Bank made the only other changes in the survey. Their 4-month, 6-month and 9-month rates were reduced by 50bps, 20bps and 10bps respectively.
