A new unlisted property fund targeting a 7.60% return has been launched by Centuria Property Funds. The fund will invest in a single location, commercial grade property in Chatswood, Sydney and offers investors the opportunity to diversify their investment portfolios from exposure to traditional bank shares or hybrid securities.
Commercial property is often a difficult asset class for individual investors to access so investing in a single asset fund which is managed by a long-standing property manager allows investors to access the benefits from a commercial property investment. Property funds have particular risks as buildings are not able to bought and sold as quickly as shares or bonds and investors should always read the product disclosure statements and consult their financial advisers to ensure any investment is appropriate for their circumstances.
The Centuria fund was opened in mid-June 2016 and will likely be closing within the next week.
