New vehicle sales fall for second month in a row

ABS data released indicates a fall in new vehicle sales of 1.6% for August (seasonally adjusted), continuing on from July’s fall of 1.3% but less than the -2.0% expected.  94,332 new vehicles were sold in August, compared to the upwardly revised July figure of 95,896.
