Summary: Small number of rate changes; 9 reductions, 3 increases; Commonwealth Bank trims some rates; other changes from AMP Bank, Macquarie; highest rate in survey rises to 5.15%.
There were a small number of rate changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. Of the 12 changes which occurred, 9 took the form of rate reductions.
One of the major banks changed its term-deposit rates. Commonwealth Bank trimmed its rates on terms of 2-years and longer by 5bps.
Among the smaller ADIs, the only changes made were by AMP Bank and Macquarie Bank.
