Summary: Modest number of rate changes; zero reductions, 10 increases; notable changes from AMP Bank, ME Bank; highest rate in survey unchanged at 5.15%.
There were a modest number of rate changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. All ten changes took the form of rate increases.
None of the major banks changed their term-deposit rates.
Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from AMP Bank. Its 9-month rate was raised by 30bps and its 3-month rate was increased by 20bps. Its 6-month and 1-year rates were raised by 10bps and 5bps respectively.
The only other changes were made by ME Bank.
