Summary: Modest number of rate changes; 11 reductions, 3 increases; notable changes from Military Bank, MyState; highest rate in survey unchanged at 5.15%.
There were a modest number of rate changes made by banks, building societies and other approved deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) in this week’s YieldReport survey. 11 of the 14 changes took the form of rate reductions.
None of the major banks changed their term-deposit rates.
Among the smaller ADIs, the most notable changes came from Military Bank. Its 3-year rate was raised by 60bps while its 2-year rate had additional 10bps added to it. 6-month and 9-month rates were trimmed by 5bps each.
Another notable change was made by MyState Bank, where its 1-year rate was cut by 65bps.
