Yields at the short end were generally stable while long end rates fell on the back of offshore events as funds were moved into lower risk assets. As a result the yield curve restarted its recent flattening trend. The 3y/10y bond spread fell by 9bps to 71bps as 3 year yields remained steady and 10 year bond yields fell 9bps. Since mid-August, the 3y/10y bond spread has generally ranged between 80bps and 90bps and but the latest number is the lowest since the end of April.
